Housing Amenities Reservations
Residents living in Washington Apartments and Swindoll Tower have the opportunity to reserve the amenities in Campus Housing buildings for events and private gatherings.
Reservation Guidelines
- Please reserve your desired amenity at least 5 business days in advance. This ensures availability of the desired space and proper preparation time for Housing staff members.
- Residents may book amenities for a maximum of 4 hours per event to allow others the opportunity to enjoy them as well. This 4 hour includes set-up, tear down, and cleaning time.
- If you plan to bring guests, please note that you are responsible for ensuring they adhere to all community rules and guidelines and must be accompanied/escorted at all times.
- If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to free up the space for others. Failure to cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance will result in a cancellation fee of $20. This fee will be deducted from your $50 refundable deposit. To cancel a reservation, please email housing@dts.edu or call 214-887-5213.
- Kindly leave the amenities clean and in good condition after use. This helps maintain the spaces for everyone’s enjoyment. After your event, an inspection will be done to assess for damage and cleanliness. Failure to leave amenities in good condition after use may result in a fee to be deducted from your $50 refundable deposit.
- A $50 refundable deposit is required for residents to use Housing Amenities. The fee will be charged to the resident’s AppFolio account. If the amenity is in good condition after use, without late cancellation fee, and without damage caused during event this amount will be fully refunded to the resident’s AppFolio account.
- Amenities may not be reserved for solicitation, fund-raising, or selling of items or services.
Important Notes for Student Groups
- A resident must be the point of contact if a student group desires to use any Housing amenities, and the resident must remain present during the entirety of the event.
- Students’ groups are allowed to reserve a Housing amenity a maximum of one time per calendar month.
- Housing amenities are available for use by student groups from 8AM – 10PM, except for the gym in Washington. The gym is available Sun – Thurs 8AM – 8PM and Fri – Sat 8AM – 10PM.
- Agreement to a $50 refundable deposit is required in order for Student Groups to use Housing Amenities. The resident who is the point of contact for the student group will be charged via his/her AppFolio account. The fee will be refunded to the resident’s AppFolio account if the amenity is returned in good condition.
Reservation Request Form
Submitting the form (and receiving a submission confirmation form) does not automatically approve your reservation. You will receive an approval or denial email within 2 business days. If approved, the resident’s AppFolio account will be charged a $50 deposit.

Swindoll Tower
Swindoll Conference Room
Swindoll Tower’s 1st floor Conference Room is a meeting space, featuring a large conference table and eight chairs. One of the walls functions as a whiteboard, allowing users to write notes directly on the wall with proper markers. With a 10-person maximum, this space is an environment for meetings, studying, conversations, planning, and more!
Swindoll Fireside Room
Swindoll Tower’s 1st floor Fireside Room is large gathering space featuring comfy sitting areas, four square tables, a full kitchen, a pool table, an air hockey table, a ping pong table, foosball table, tv, grand piano, and large electric fireplace.
Washington Apartments
Washington Atrium
Washington Apartments’ 6th floor Atrium is an outdoor space with reclining chairs, tables with chairs, and lights drawn from wall to wall below an open sky. This is a great environment for a party, game night, studying, dinner with friends, and much more!
Washington Clubhouse
Washington’s 3rd floor Clubhouse features a full kitchen seating areas, a ping pong table, two pool tables, foosball table, and two music rooms. This is an excellent party space, study area, game night space, dinner party area, and more!
Washington Media Room 1 & 2
Washington’s 3rd floor Media Rooms are comfy movie viewing rooms with bean bags, recliners, and a tv featuring a selection of subscription services. These spaces are often used as movie party rooms, sport games viewing rooms, and date night locations.
Washington Gym
Washinton Apartments’ 4th floor Gym is a 1/2 basketball court with a seating area. Sports equipment such as basketballs and dodge balls are made available. This amenity is a prime work out space, open event area, basketball game, or several other sporting event space!
