The 2025 $500 Near Campus Rent Special is a one-time rent special offered to 20 new students relocating to Dallas for in-person classes in the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 term. Awarded students will receive a flat $500 rent rate at a select DTS Near-Campus Partner for the duration of the Special!
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or naturalized US resident;
- Must be accepted into a Master’s, PhD, or EdD degree program;
- Must be new to taking classes on the Dallas Campus;
- Must be enrolled in two (2) in-person classes on the Dallas campus during both Fall 2025 and Spring 2025 terms; and
- Must sign a lease with a select DTS Near-Campus Partner for an eligible unit, a lease that starts no earlier than May 1, 2025.
Preparing for the Application
Application opens April 2025!
There will be twenty (20) $500 Near-Campus Rent Specials offered for the Fall 2025 term. Upon selection, Housing will pay the DTS Partner the difference between the unit’s rent and $500 on a monthly basis until the end of the lease or June 30, 2026, whichever comes first. The resident is responsible for paying the remaining $500 in rent plus fees and utilities.
