Doctrinal Statement Strengthening

Dear DTS Community,

Dallas Theological Seminary is committed \”to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.\” This requires maintaining the doctrinal convictions of the past while keeping them understandable and clear to present and future generations.

Considering this, the Board of Incorporate Members (BIM) initiated a review of the seminary’s doctrinal statement in 2018. This process aimed to increase the doctrinal statement’s clarity and precision while remaining true to its historical biblical and theological assertions. Not surprisingly, none of DTS’s doctrines have changed. On the contrary, the review process, which concluded in May 2022, led the BIM unanimously to strengthen the doctrinal statement in several areas.

I invite you to read more about DTS’s doctrinal statement strengthening, including a detailed account of the articles fortified during this review process.

We rejoice in the Lord for guiding the board, administration, and faculty through this process with unity and conviction.

Sincerely,

Mark M. Yarbrough
President
