WEC KIDS

CONFERENCE

What's WEC Kids?

WEC Kids is part of DTS’s annual World Evangelization Conference (WEC) and is specifically designed for children of current DTS students, staff, and faculty. It’s a fun-filled conference just for kids age 4 through grade 6 to learn about missions through games, crafts, and hands-on learning. During this week the children will get their passports and “travel” to a different country each day learning through corresponding Bible stories, mission activities, crafts, games, and snacks specifically related to each country. Check-in opens at 8:15 a.m. every morning. All children must be registered in order to attend.

WEC Kids takes place March 5 – 7, 2024 from 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on the DTS campus in the Campbell building.

Who can attend?

Children ages 4 through 6th grade are welcome to attend. Your child MUST be 4 and out of diapers before the conference begins.

How can I register my child?

Space is limited, so register your child early! Due to space limitations, if you register your child after the maximum number of spots per class has already been filled, your child will be placed on a waiting list. The WEC Kids director will notify you via email if space opens up for your child to attend. Thank you for your understanding.

PLEASE NOTE: All information submitted in the registration form will be seen only by the WEC Kids director and teachers.

How can I pick up my child?

In order to pick up your child after the conference, you MUST have one of the following forms of identification. Without one of these forms we cannot, in good conscience, release your child. Please remember that although this may be an inconvenience to you, the safety of your child is important to us!

  1. PASSPORT SLIP: This is given to you each morning when you drop off your child, and we take it back when you pick up your child.
  2. PICTURE ID: We will need to see a picture ID if you do not have a passport slip.

Alternative Release
If for some reason the person who drops off the child is not able to pick them up, there are two options:

  1. Give the passport slip to the person who will pick up the child.
  2. At drop off, tell a person at the registration table who will be picking up the child. The alternative release person will need to have a picture ID.

Again, we will not release your child without proper identification. Your child’s safety is important to us!

How can I volunteer to help with WEC Kids?

We need lots of volunteers! If you would like to volunteer to help with WEC Kids, please fill out the form below. PLEASE NOTE: By filling out this form you are agreeing to have a background check. All volunteers must have a background check done in order to protect the safety of our children.
