Near Campus Housing: Welcome to Dallas Rent Special
For a limited time only, DTS is offering new Dallas Campus students up to $400 off the base monthly rent rate for near-campus housing. During the 2024-25 lease term, for each in-person class a new resident attends on the Dallas Campus, DTS will reduce their monthly rent at the near campus property by $200 per in-person class. This offer is valid for a maximum of two in-person classes or $400/month for the term indicated in the signed contract.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for this rent special, the applicant must be new to the Dallas Campus. Current Dallas Campus students and residents are ineligible for this special.
Swiss Hamptons, Buckner Park Lofts, Sun & Sands, Alexan Cathedral Arts, and Crawford Corner are eligible
The rent special will be applied upon move-in for eligible students living in one of our near-campus locations.
Swindoll Tower, Washington Apartments, and Lance’s Hall Residents are ineligible
This rent special does not apply to Swindoll Tower, Washington Apartments, or Lance’s Hall, as those rents are already offered at a discounted monthly rate.
Application Process
In order to receive this DTS special, applicants must sign special contracts with DTS in addition to the lease that they sign with the near-campus property. DTS will act as guarantor for the resident during the 2024-25 lease term. For more information regarding the application process, please see Housing Application Process.
Important Considerations
Continuing Eligibility
The resident must remain active in at least two Dallas on-campus, in-person classes to continue to receive the discounted rent rate.
Withdrawing from an In-Person Class Mid-Semester May Affect Monthly Rent Rate
Multiple Students Living in One Apartment
There is one lease per apartment, regardless of the number of students living in the apartment. As long as one resident is maintaining the in-person requirement, the New Resident Rent Special will be applied to their monthly rent, with a maximum of $400 a month.
Proration upon Move-In/Move-Out
In situations where the first and last month’s rent is pro-rated by the resident’s move date, the rent special will also be prorated (effective August 15, 2024).
Again, the Welcome to Dallas Rent Special is only available to students new to the Dallas Campus.
